THE HISTORY OF WALL

This is a lesson in alliance politics on the alpha server.

It all started with the first alpha war. All big alliances were part of it, and they decided to make two blocs that would protect each other in times of need. There was AWC on one side, and UAA on the other. Both parties signed some sort of treaty, saying they would protect the other signatories in wartime. The first two blocs on the alpha server were born!

In alpha war 2, AWC and UAA did get into an argument, and they started fighting. Since this time, The AWC and UAA are in some sort of cold war state, in which they do not attack each other. They do however dislike and ignore each other.

After a long time of peace on the alpha server, the alliances Hetre, Sky and IUA became friends. They introduced a new system of protection. Not just protection in times of war, but also friendship in times of peace. At this time, WOR was born. One board (the one of SKY) became the official board of WOR to make communication easy. Also, a treaty was signed in which all three alliances agreed on exchange everything, from information to trades to cultural treaties.

After a while, some of our old friends came along. Of course it did not take the council much time to vote, and announce a new member of WOR: VG. They were joining us, because they had the same goals for the alpha server as WOR did, however, they did have a very different history!

Then, the alliance Ride or Die came along. Ride or die was an alliance consisting of people that saw aggression as the answer to all their problems. This included recruitment, as they forced their members in. After a while, and multiple warnings, WOR decided to end the show for RorD. Immediately after the Declaration of War, RorD fell apart into several smaller alliances. These alliances started bickering about their history, and about the former leadership. Some of these alliance still exist today, other vanished.

After this war, we made new friends! The alliance GLOBE introduced itself to WOR and in time joined WOR. At this time, WOR consisted of 5 alliances!

The -VG- alliance left WOR, since they had different opinions about warfare.

Due to many applications to not only IUA, but other alliances, the IUA leader decided to create its own subsidiary form of alliance. This alliance, originally known as iuaBC, was for the newer members. This training academy soon became popular, and was integrated into the WOR itself, becoming the new WORbc. As of the foundation of WORbc, the WOR coalition consists of 5 alliances, and one special training alliance.

After a lot of trolling and seeing how dangerous (high military score) WLS became, WOR decided to declare war on WLS. At the same time AWC saw the same problems. Therefore, WLS was under attack by two major coalitions. Obviously, they lost a lot of points. The overall outcome was a great victory.

A rearrangement inside WOR happened. The SKY alliance merged with IUA, to make IUA stronger. They even overtook hetre alliance in the alliance highscore list.

The introduction of TFL was next. They became signatories of WOR.

At this time disaster struck WOR. An IUA member came under attack from HBC. They counter attackd and handled HBC roughly in the ensuing fight. The world political position became unstable the closer Version 3.0 got. IUA decided that they could not longer support WOR and resigned. At about the same time TFL underwent an internaschism and reorganized which made them only partially effective for a time. At this point WOR consisted only of HETRE and GLOBE. HETRE's leaders underwent a lot of doubt and then voted over the majority of their members wishes to disolve WOR taking WORbc out at the same time. This left only GLOBE and a remnant of TFL in WOR. At this point the WOR borad was hopelessly compromised. The leaders of GLOBE realized that the functionality of WOR had been useful as a political protection and deterant.

USING many of the historical tools of WOR, GLOBE estavblished The WALL. The WALL was much like WOR, though it sought to form even stronger bonds of mutual defense between alliances in the face of outside aggression.

The WALL was born on this site.
